Scaling Relations in Absorbing Phase Transitions with a Conserved Field in One Dimension

چکیده
Validity of two scaling relations β = ν‖θ and z = ν‖/ν⊥ widely known in absorbing phase transitions is studied for the conserved lattice gas (CLG) model and the conserved threshold transfer process CTTP) both in one dimension. For the CLG model, it is found that both relations hold when the critical exponents calculated from the allsample average density of active particles are considered. For the CTTP model, various exponents are calculated via Monte Carlo simulations and they are confirmed by the off-critical scaling and the finite-size scaling analyses. The exponents estimated from the all-sample averages again satisfy both relations. These observations are in strict disagreement with earlier observations in two dimensions [Phys. Rev. Lett. 85, 1803 (2000); Phys Rev. E 68, 056102 (2003)] but support the more recent observation for the CLG model [Phys. Rev. E 78, 040103(R) (2008)].

Mean-field scaling function of the universality class of absorbing phase transitions with a conserved field
We consider two mean-field like models which belong to the universality class of absorbing phase transitions with a conserved field. In both cases we derive analytically the order parameter as function of the control parameter and of an external field conjugated to the order parameter. This allows us to calculate the universal scaling function of the mean-field behavior. The obtained universal ...
متن کاملScaling behavior of the order parameter and its conjugated field in an absorbing phase transition around the upper critical dimension.
We analyze numerically the critical behavior of an absorbing phase transition in a conserved lattice gas in an external field. The external field is realized as a spontaneous creation of active particles that drives the system away from criticality. Nevertheless, the order parameter obeys certain scaling laws for sufficiently small external fields. These scaling laws are investigated and the co...
متن کاملInfinitely-Many Absorbing-State Nonequilibrium Phase Transitions
We present a general field-theoretic strategy to analyze three connected families of continuous phase transitions which occur in nonequilibrium steady-states. We focus on transitions taking place between an active state and one absorbing state, when there exist an infinite number of such absorbing states. In such transitions the order parameter is coupled to an auxiliary field. Three situations...
متن کاملInterface depinning versus absorbing-state phase transitions.
According to recent numerical results from lattice models, the critical exponents of systems with many absorbing states and order parameter coupled to a nondiffusive conserved field coincide with those of the linear interface depinning model within computational accuracy. In this paper the connection between absorbing-state phase transitions and interface pinning in quenched disordered media is...
متن کاملPair Contact Process with Diffusion: Field Theory
– We elucidate the mechanism underlying the continuous nonequilibrium phase transition of the Pair Contact Process with Diffusion (PCPD). We compute its scaling exponents to second order in an ε-expansion around the upper critical dimension dc = 2 within a simple functional renormalization group (RG) approach. In particular, we establish that the PCPD is not in the directed percolation universa...
